Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues, CPU utilization, server memory, disk I/O, disk space.
• Monitor database replication latency, backup and scheduled jobs.
• Fine-tune SQL queries and enforce standard coding based on best practices.
• Management of the databases, including change requests and troubleshooting incidents.
• Ensure that documentation is maintained and kept up to date in line with standards and policies.


Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant discipline
• At least 4 years of professional Database Administration experience
• Experience with performance tuning, indexes, query plans
